I have done drugs. For some a certain amount of shame is attached to this statement others wave the flag of rebellion daring the world to take notice. Refusing the closet they declare status. Rebels.
We all know, regardless of the substance, society has determined legalities dictating consumption, distribution and production. Penalties range from minor for most 'soft drugs' to severe for 'hard stuff '.
I am not here today to get into right or wrong suffice to say I believe the human condition for the most part lacking the tools to make the distinction.
I have done drugs. A confession heard at many junctures in life. The DUI walking a line, yes booze is a drug. A criminal defending his actions. The mother guarding her pregnancy. In most instances the truth can set you free. Penalties notwithstanding our honesty cleanses, explains, forgives.
He/she has done drugs. Has a different cogitation doesn't it. When he/she caves to temptation its weak. You / I had a pass.
As humans we crave temptation. Its in our nature. Basic instincts detect it, human tendencies manipulate it. Good conscious forgives it.
Do onto others as you would have done to you.
